Jungle carpet pythons, Morelia spilota chenyi, are more vividly coloured than the coastal subspecies, Morelia spilota mcdowelli.  This subspecies also tends to be somewhat smaller (1.5-2.5 meters) compared to (2-3 meters) for the coastal carpet python.  This is a photograph of one of Reptilia's young males.  (Photo: Joshua V.
