Educational Program Fees

The dynamic and captivating reptiles and amphibians brought into your classroom will increase your students’ interest in learning; thereby, increasing the richness of their educational experience. Reptilia’s educational programs are hands-on investigations of reptiles and amphibians and how they relate to the world in which they live. The educational programs are tightly linked to the new science and technology curriculum because they introduce and reinforce the concepts that students are learning in class.

At Our Facility
Two options are offered for those who want to visit our facility.

Zoo Admission Only ($6.00/person minimum 20 people) - Visit Reptilia's 15,000 square foot zoo with a goup of at least 20 people.  Tour the zoo's 50 exhibits on your own time and observe over 60 species of reptiles and amphibians. 

Hands-on Lesson and Admission to the Zoo ($8.00/person minimum 20 people) - Includes classroom time (45-60 minutes) and admission to the zoo (tour exhibits at your own pace - typically 40-60 minutes).

Outside GTA - The following conditions apply for areas 150 km or more outside the GTA. Reptilia requires a minimum of three days of teaching in the area and special lodging and meal expenses will apply. Lodging expenses of $60.00/day and meal expenses are $35.00/day. Mileage for travel to and from the area is also charged at a rate of $0.40/km but mileage for travel in the area is not charged.

At Your School - Reptilia’s personnel will attend your school accompanied by a selection of reptiles suitable for your teaching objectives. The course content remains the same as that taught at our facility, the difference is that some of the larger and more sensitive animals are not suited for travel. Reptilia’s staff will teach lessons that are typically between 45-60 minutes in length.

Fees – Fees for services vary depending on the number of classes taught and the size of the group. All fees subject to GST. For areas outside the GTA, additional mileage fees of $0.40/km (small shows) and $0.50/km (large shows) for travel too and from the location apply.
